Getting organised
Once you have your shortlist of target degree apprenticeships, it’s time to get organised. Much like a revision timetable, you have to allocate time to each application and ensure you are aware of the key dates and deadlines.
Key Success Factors:
Keep all the key information in one place.
Plan ahead - schedule time to research, plan and write your applications.
Apply early - it’s highly likely that some organisations will give early applications more credence.
Dedicated [digital] folders
For each degree apprenticeship application, you should create a Google Drive (or similar) folder. In there, you should add (at a minimum):
Your tailored CV.
Your customised cover letter.
A Google Doc (or similar) with the questions copied and pasted from the application form.
Tracking spreadsheet
Creating a spreadsheet that contains all the vital information you need in one place will be hugely beneficial. This spreadsheet should have the following headings (as a minimal):
Name of the organisation.
Link to their Degree Apprenticeship website page.
Contacts within that organisation (see Networking section).
Information sign up (Y/N) - get on their email list.
Insight days/events.
Application deadline.

Plan ahead
Once you know the application deadline, dedicate time in your diary to complete the application form, research the company etc. Start at least two months before the deadline.
Let technology do the heavy listing
Google Tasks is a free, integrated to-do list app which enables you to organise and track tasks. It includes features such as due dates, sub-tasks and reminders. It’s a godsend for getting organised. Google Tasks is available on Apple and Android. (Alternatives will be available too.)
