Common ground
One-to-one interviews can be a great opportunity to bond with the interviewer. Hopefully your CV contains enough information and talking points that you will find common ground with the interviewer.
If you find yourself going off on a tangent and it feels more like a friendly chat, this is a good sign. However, don’t let your guard down - stay professional at all times.
