Initial phone/video screening
These are the most common methods of pre-screening candidates. Typically the recruiter will use this time to assess your communication skills and motivations. Prepare as you would for a telephone interview or an online one-to-one interview.
Vetting
For apprenticeships in the Civil Service or other security-sensitive sectors, the organisation may undertake a detailed background check. This could mean looking at your social media activity. Make sure you supply any requested information in a timely manner.
